About Cognitive Hypnotherapy
We are all unique and no one experiences stress, anxiety or any other debilitating condition in the same way, which is why with this type of therapy we never ‘label’ our clients. Instead, we work together with the client to understand what is happening to them when they are experiencing these conditions and why. We then work practically to teach coping skills that provide a sense of control. We work at the pace that is comfortable with the client. Your treatment is bespoke, empathetic and completely at your own pace.
What does Cognitive Hypnotherapy feel like?
Some people see the word “hypnotherapy” and associate it with stage hypnotists with pocket watches, nothing could be further from the truth.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is just a conversation between you and me. You are in control at all times, and you will not do anything that you don’t want to do. It might be that you close your eyes and listen to my voice, but you will always know where you are, what you are doing, and you can open your eyes and talk whenever you feel like it. Cognitive Hypnotherapy helps you to reach a state of deep relaxation which can you help you to feel calm and comfortable.
The wonderful thing about this therapy is that people often leave the first session feeling different. In a way its like the butterfly effect – little changes starting to happen in your life, which gradually grow into big changes. Before you even realise, you begin to think differently, behave differently.
